Warranty Information

Effective Date: August 12, 2026
Last Updated: August 12, 2026

My Fireplace Doors LLC, operating MyFireplaceDoors.com (“My Fireplace Doors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), sells products from multiple manufacturers as well as custom, made-to-order, and specialty fireplace products.

Warranty coverage varies by manufacturer, product, component, and application.

Our approach is straightforward: if you purchased the product from us and believe something is wrong, start with us. We will help determine what coverage applies, what information is needed, and what the next step should be.

This page explains how warranty matters are handled through My Fireplace Doors.

1. The Warranty That Applies to Your Product

Many products sold through My Fireplace Doors are covered by a written warranty issued by the product’s manufacturer.

When a manufacturer provides the warranty, that manufacturer’s written warranty determines:

  • The duration of coverage
  • The products and components covered
  • The beginning date of coverage
  • Exclusions
  • Maintenance or use requirements
  • Claim procedures
  • Repair or replacement obligations
  • Labor coverage, if any
  • Shipping or freight responsibility
  • Whether coverage transfers to a subsequent owner
  • Coverage applicable to replacement parts
  • Other warranty terms and limitations

Unless My Fireplace Doors expressly issues a separate written warranty for a particular product, a manufacturer’s warranty remains the manufacturer’s warranty obligation and is not a separate warranty issued by My Fireplace Doors.

2. Warranty Information Before Purchase

Where a product is sold with an applicable written manufacturer warranty and the warranty terms are provided or made available to us, we will make the applicable written warranty information available before purchase through the product page, linked warranty documentation, order information, or another appropriate pre-purchase method.

If you cannot locate the warranty information for a product you are considering, contact us before purchasing and we will make reasonable efforts to obtain it.

3. If Something Is Wrong, Start With Us

If you purchased a product through My Fireplace Doors and believe it has a manufacturing defect or another warranty-covered problem, contact us first.

Provide:

  • Your order number
  • The product involved
  • A clear description of the problem
  • The approximate date the problem was first discovered
  • Photographs showing the issue
  • Photographs of model, serial, rating, or identification labels when relevant
  • Any other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim

We will review the information and help determine the appropriate path.

Depending on the product and applicable warranty, the next step may involve:

  • Troubleshooting
  • Additional photographs
  • Manufacturer review
  • Replacement hardware
  • Replacement components
  • Inspection
  • Repair
  • Product replacement
  • Another remedy provided by the applicable warranty

4. Our Initial Response

We will make reasonable efforts to acknowledge a warranty request submitted with sufficient identifying information within two business days.

An acknowledgment does not mean that warranty coverage has been approved.

Some claims require additional information or manufacturer review before a coverage determination can be made.

If we are waiting on information from a manufacturer, distributor, fabricator, or other warranty provider, we will communicate material developments when reasonably possible.

5. Reporting a Suspected Defect

Report a suspected manufacturing defect within 30 days after you discover it.

Earlier notice is strongly encouraged, particularly when continued use could worsen the condition or make its cause more difficult to determine.

A manufacturer’s written warranty may contain its own notification, claim, registration, inspection, or other procedural requirements. Those applicable warranty terms control the manufacturer’s warranty claim and may require action sooner.

Nothing in this section eliminates rights that cannot lawfully be waived or shortened.

6. Manufacturer Warranty Claims

When the warranty is issued by a manufacturer, the manufacturer ultimately determines coverage under its written warranty.

We will reasonably assist customers who purchased the product through My Fireplace Doors.

Depending on the manufacturer’s process, the customer may be required to:

  • Provide photographs
  • Provide proof of purchase
  • Supply model or serial information
  • Perform reasonable troubleshooting
  • Stop using the affected product
  • Return a component
  • Permit inspection
  • Communicate directly with the manufacturer’s warranty department

We will provide available order information reasonably necessary to establish the purchase through My Fireplace Doors.

7. Warranty Registration

Some products may include a manufacturer registration process.

When registration information is supplied with the product or disclosed as part of the applicable warranty, review it promptly after purchase.

If a manufacturer requests or requires registration for a particular warranty benefit, service process, safety notification, or other purpose, follow the instructions and deadline stated in that manufacturer’s warranty materials.

My Fireplace Doors does not control a manufacturer’s registration system and cannot guarantee that late registration will be accepted.

A registration requirement will not be interpreted by My Fireplace Doors to eliminate any right that applicable law prohibits the manufacturer or seller from conditioning on registration.

8. Custom and Made-to-Order Products

Custom and made-to-order fireplace products require particular care because they may combine fabricated metal, glass, mesh, hardware, finishes, and other components supplied or manufactured by different parties.

Warranty coverage may differ by component.

Separate terms may apply to:

  • Fabricated frames
  • Metal components
  • Glass
  • Mesh
  • Hinges
  • Handles
  • Hardware
  • Finishes and coatings
  • Factory-supplied accessories
  • Other components

The written warranty applicable to the product or component determines the coverage.

A custom product manufactured correctly to the dimensions, configuration, finish, and other specifications contained in the customer’s Approved Order is not defective merely because customer-supplied measurements or other customer-approved specifications were incorrect.

If a custom product materially differs from the Approved Order, contact us before installation.

9. Approved Order and Measurement Issues

For custom and measurement-dependent products, the Approved Order is the written specification record approved by the customer before fabrication.

Depending on the product, it may include:

  • Width and height
  • Fireplace-opening dimensions
  • Fireplace type
  • Manufacturer or model
  • Frame dimensions
  • Door configuration
  • Glass
  • Mesh
  • Finish
  • Handles
  • Hardware
  • Mounting configuration
  • Options
  • Other customer-specific specifications

Warranty coverage does not convert a customer measurement error into a manufacturing defect.

Measurement-related cancellations and returns are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy and the applicable Approved Order.

10. Shipping Damage Is Not a Warranty Claim

Damage occurring during transportation is handled under our Shipping & Delivery Policy, not as an ordinary manufacturer warranty claim.

For visible freight damage, inspect the shipment and note the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt at the time of delivery.

For concealed shipping damage discovered after unpacking, notify us within five business days after delivery.

For missing or incorrect items, notify us within 48 hours after delivery when reasonably possible.

Keep all packaging, crates, cartons, pallets, shipping labels, and documentation until the matter has been resolved or you are told they may be discarded.

11. Fulfillment Errors Are Not Warranty Claims

If we, a manufacturer, distributor, or fulfillment partner sends the wrong product, quantity, finish, or component, the issue is handled as an order-fulfillment matter rather than a manufacturer warranty claim.

Contact us before installing or modifying the product.

We will review the Approved Order and shipping records and determine the appropriate correction.

12. Returns Are Separate From Warranty Claims

A warranty claim is not the same as an ordinary return.

A customer who changes their mind, selects the wrong standard product, or no longer needs a product is subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

A product does not become returnable solely because a warranty question has been submitted.

Likewise, an otherwise non-returnable custom product remains subject to its applicable return restrictions unless a verified defect, fulfillment error, applicable warranty, or law provides a remedy.

13. Installation-Related Problems

Warranty coverage may be affected when a problem results from:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Installation contrary to manufacturer instructions
  • Unauthorized modification
  • Improper use
  • Improper maintenance
  • Incorrect fuel or application
  • Failure to observe required clearances
  • Damage occurring after delivery
  • Other conditions excluded by the applicable written warranty

Inspect products before installation.

If you believe a product is defective, contact us before drilling, cutting, altering, repairing, or permanently installing it whenever reasonably possible.

14. Independent Installation

Unless installation is expressly purchased from My Fireplace Doors under a written agreement, an installer or contractor hired directly by the customer is an independent service provider.

A product warranty does not automatically make My Fireplace Doors responsible for labor, installation work, or damage caused by an independent installer.

Likewise, improper installation does not automatically establish a defect in the product.

15. Normal Wear and Product Aging

Fireplace products operate around heat, flame, soot, ash, smoke, moisture, moving parts, and repeated heating and cooling.

Materials can change with normal use.

Depending on the product and applicable warranty, normal wear may include:

  • Finish aging
  • Discoloration
  • Minor surface changes
  • Wear to moving components
  • Mesh wear
  • Gasket deterioration
  • Changes associated with repeated heat exposure

Normal aging or wear is not necessarily a manufacturing defect.

The applicable written warranty determines whether a particular condition is covered.

16. Glass

Fireplace glass requires special care.

Glass damage may result from impact, excessive or uneven force, improper installation, thermal conditions, misuse, cleaning methods, or other causes unrelated to a manufacturing defect.

Warranty coverage for glass varies by manufacturer and product.

Do not assume that broken, cracked, scratched, clouded, discolored, or otherwise damaged glass is automatically covered.

Contact us with photographs and information describing when and how the condition occurred so the applicable warranty can be reviewed.

17. Finishes and Color Variation

Metal finishes, coatings, patinas, plated surfaces, painted finishes, and other decorative treatments may show normal variation.

Hand-applied and custom finishes may not be perfectly uniform.

Photographs, samples, lighting, surrounding materials, and display settings may also affect perceived color.

Changes caused by heat, chemicals, abrasive cleaners, environmental exposure, improper maintenance, or normal aging may not constitute a manufacturing defect.

Follow the care and cleaning instructions applicable to the product.

18. Gas Products and Specialized Components

Gas logs, burners, valves, controls, ignition systems, electrical components, and similar products may carry separate or component-specific manufacturer warranties.

Installation, fuel type, pressure, ventilation, clearances, maintenance, and other conditions may affect safe operation and warranty coverage.

These products must be installed, serviced, and used according to the applicable instructions and requirements.

19. Replacement Parts and Replacement Products

An approved warranty claim may result in replacement of only the affected part rather than the entire product.

A replacement part or replacement product does not automatically restart the original warranty period.

Coverage for a replacement part or replacement product is determined by the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty. Depending on that warranty, coverage may continue only for the remainder of the original warranty period or may receive a separate period of coverage.

We will communicate available information concerning replacement coverage when a warranty remedy is approved.

20. Warranty Freight and Shipping Costs

Warranty coverage does not automatically include shipping or freight charges.

For large fireplace doors and other freight-shipped products, transportation costs can be substantial.

Who pays for:

  • Shipping a component for inspection
  • Return freight
  • Replacement-part shipping
  • Freight for a replacement product
  • Residential delivery
  • Liftgate service
  • Other transportation charges

depends on the applicable written warranty, the nature of the claim, and applicable law.

Do not ship a large product back without authorization.

When a warranty return is required, we will tell you the approved return location and, when known, who is responsible for the applicable transportation charges before shipment.

21. Labor and Other Costs

Unless the applicable written warranty expressly provides otherwise, do not assume warranty coverage includes:

  • Product removal
  • Reinstallation
  • Installer labor
  • Contractor labor
  • Service calls
  • Travel
  • Fireplace modification
  • Masonry or finish work
  • Construction work
  • Access costs
  • Loss of use
  • Other incidental project expenses

The applicable warranty determines what costs are covered.

22. Transfer of Warranty Coverage

Do not assume a manufacturer warranty automatically transfers when a home or product is sold.

Some warranties may apply only to the original purchaser, while others may follow the product or permit transfer under stated conditions.

The applicable written warranty determines transferability.

If transferability is important to your purchase, review the manufacturer’s warranty before ordering.

23. Proof of Purchase

Warranty claims commonly require proof of purchase.

For products purchased directly from us, your My Fireplace Doors order record may establish the purchase date and transaction.

Keep:

  • Your order confirmation
  • Invoice
  • Approved Order for custom products
  • Warranty documentation
  • Manufacturer registration information, when applicable
  • Model and serial information

The applicable manufacturer warranty determines when the warranty period begins.

24. Products Purchased Elsewhere

Our warranty-assistance process is intended for products purchased through My Fireplace Doors.

If a product was purchased from another retailer, dealer, installer, marketplace, or directly from a manufacturer, warranty assistance should generally begin with that seller or the manufacturer.

25. Warranty Remedies

The remedy available for an approved warranty claim is determined by the warranty that applies to the product.

Depending on the warranty, a remedy may include:

  • Technical assistance
  • Replacement hardware
  • Replacement parts
  • Repair
  • Product replacement
  • Refund or credit where provided
  • Another remedy stated in the warranty

An approved warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a complete product replacement or refund unless the applicable warranty or law provides that remedy.

26. Manufacturer-Direct and Dropship Products

Products shipped directly from a manufacturer, distributor, or fulfillment partner may be subject to that provider’s warranty-claim procedures.

My Fireplace Doors will reasonably assist with qualifying warranty matters involving products purchased from us, but we cannot alter a manufacturer’s written warranty or promise a remedy the manufacturer has not authorized.

Where practical, we will remain the customer’s point of contact while the claim is being routed and evaluated.

27. Implied Warranties and Other Legal Rights

Our Terms & Conditions contain provisions concerning implied warranties and other limitations applicable to transactions with My Fireplace Doors.

Where the law permits, implied warranties may be disclaimed or limited as stated in those Terms.

Where applicable law does not permit a warranty or consumer right to be disclaimed, limited, shortened, or waived, that legal right remains in effect.

Nothing on this Warranty Information page is intended to eliminate rights that cannot lawfully be eliminated.

28. Warranty Abuse and Misrepresentation

Warranty requests must accurately describe the product and what occurred.

We may reject or cease assisting with a claim involving:

  • Falsified photographs
  • Altered proof of purchase
  • Substituted products
  • Knowingly false measurements
  • False descriptions of damage
  • Materially misleading information
  • Other fraud or intentional misrepresentation

Legitimate warranty claims will be evaluated on their facts and under the warranty that applies.
