MFD Verified Fitment

MFD Verified Fitment

Let’s make sure the door fits your fireplace before you buy it.

Send clear photographs of the fireplace, record the measurements, and tell us which door you are considering. MFD compares the evidence before approving the fitment.

If anything conflicts, we pause and ask for what is missing. We do not guess with your order.

Choose the responsibility path

Two ways to proceed. One must be explicit.

Verified Fitment adds MFD review and a written decision. Customer-Directed Purchase leaves identification, compatibility, measurements, configuration, and fitment with the buyer.

Customer-Directed Purchase

You remain free to shop independently.

MFD will not represent the product as verified. You accept responsibility for fireplace identification, compatibility, measurements, configuration, and fitment. Ordinary product, fulfillment, shipping-damage, and manufacturer warranty protections still apply. This path does not authorize a prohibited or unsafe installation.

Step 1 of 5

Begin the project record.

Tell us who you are, where the fireplace is, and what you hope to purchase. Have your phone and a rigid tape measure ready. Photo uploads open in Step 3. Typed answers are saved on this device as you work.

Step 2 of 5

Describe what you can see.

You are not expected to identify the fireplace yourself. “Not sure” is useful information. MFD makes the final classification from the complete record.

Step 3 of 5

Add your fireplace photos.

Tap each photo control below and use your camera or photo library. A preview and checkmark will confirm every photo. Use current, well-lit photographs taken while the fireplace is completely cool and unlit.

The entire fireplace

Include the wall, hearth, mantel, surrounding construction, and anything that may obstruct installation

Straight-on opening

Center the camera. Show the entire opening, face, hearth relationship, vents, louvers, trim, and controls

Firebox and mounting surfaces

Show the lintel, returns, lower edge, mounting surfaces, tracks, brackets, and the transition to the facing

Manufacturer rating plate

Show the complete label and make the manufacturer, model, serial, and listing information readable.

If it cannot be located safely, your selection in Step 2 documents that fact.

Step 4 of 5

Measure so the evidence can be checked.

Use a rigid metal tape. Hold it straight in the measurement plane. Enter the whole inches and fraction actually shown. Each photograph must show the starting point, tape path, endpoint, and readable value.

Do not round, average, use a phone measuring app, or rely on plans or an old measurement. Preserve the smallest dimension; MFD will decide which value controls for the selected product.

Step 5 of 5

Review before submitting.

This check can identify contradictions, but it does not grant approval. MFD must compare the complete evidence with the exact proposed product and controlling manufacturer requirements.
